His Beatitude Met. Jonah visits for Presanctified Liturgy 03/28/2012

On Wednesday March 28th at 6:30pm for Presanctified Liturgy at the St. John's College Boathouse His Beatitude Metropolitan Jonah graced us by attending the service and staying for our fasting potluck. His Beatitude's visit gave us support and strength as we journey towards Holy Pascha. Holy Week is fast upon us. From Palm Sunday to Holy Pascha we journey from Christ's triumphant yet humble entry into Jerusalem to the cross, the grave, the empty tomb and the joyous resurrection on the third day. Welcome
We are an Orthodox Christian community founded in January 2011 and committed to proclaiming and living the historic Faith “once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 1:3) and that which has been believed at all times, in all places, by all Christians.
Our Mission is a youthful and family-oriented church, full of college students and midshipmen during the academic year. It is a place of continued growth and healing in Christ for those already Orthodox and a welcoming home for those “storm-tossed” by the world and seeking healing and the fullness of the life in Christ for everyone. As we live out our faith, we believe in the Church’s ministry to serve “in the world” but not be “of the world.”
